It is currently expected that a new server will need to be deployed (ETA 12 hours) and hosting/email accounts recreated.

Update 1 2013/April/24 08:10:  Copy of data to new server is underway, estimated time to complete: 630 minutes

What: The Manchester DataCentre has a complete outage, all services based at Telecity/UKGrid/Burst are currently inaccessible.

Affects: All customers with onapp ukcloud virtual machines based in Manchester.
Please note; this does not affect our London based services.

When: This condition was detected at 04:00 25/01/2013.  We do not yet have an ETA for service restoration as the datacentre are still investigating.

We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused, service will be restored as soon as possible.  We are aware that outage from last week is as yet unexplained as the datacentre hasn’t provided a full RFO – this outage appears to be a similar fault.

Service has been restored we have been advised the issue has been resolved and they are continuing to monitor the network.

When: This condition was detected at 8:00 18/09/2012.  We do not yet have an ETA for service restoration as the system is being tested to ensure no other failures.

Update 1 (18/09/2012 14:20): –
We apoologise for the lack of an update, the engineers have been working non-stop to recover this server.  It has been returned to service – however we strongly recommend that all customers contact us to discuss migration paths to other platforms as Ensim for Windows is becoming less supportable.

What: This server has suffered a cooling failure and has been temporarily taken out of service for repairs.
Affects: All customers with Windows hosting services provided by this service/server.  Please note; this will not affect e-mail or other account functions – just the web site.
When: This condition was detected at 09:43 12/08/2012.  We do not yet have an ETA for service restoration as the system is being tested to ensure no other failures.

COMPLETED: Emergency Maintenance : Hosting : Helm2 (MidnightSoftware)

Server Helm2.othellohosts.net is under maintenance following a fault in the control panel.

 

We will post more details once they are available.

 

Update 1:
All affected customers have been migrated to our DotNetPanel services and the Helm platform retired.  This will mean a change of credentials and URLs for the Control Panel.   All customers will have received a new Welcome E-mail for the new service with these details in.  We apologise for the inconvenience.  With works of this magnitude there may be a few lingering issues with individual scripts, if this affects you please contact Support via the usual methods (support@othellotech.net, http://support.othellotech.net).
